Consulting

VE has the experience to help you build a stronger business. Distribution and supply of energy is critical to all aspects of modern business. The Global energy industry is multi-faceted and diverse, comprising a wide range of disciplines and processes.

THE RENEWABLE ENERGY INDUSTRY
Renewable energy is a rapidly expanding sector. It comprises alternative energy and sustainable energy companies, including those involved in tidal power, hydroelectric power, wind power, solar power generation, and the manufacture, distribution and sale of alternative fuels. VE offers initial consultancy and full project management with all forms of renewable energy backed by comprehensive construction and maintenance partners, globally.

THE GAS INDUSTRY
VE services benefit companies associated gas exploration and extraction, as well as distribution and sales.
Our experienced team of Engineers and Geologists help source, develop, operate and maintain gas fields in the Americas, Europe and North Africa.

THE ELECTRICAL POWER INDUSTRY
Electricity generation, electric power distribution and sales can be complex – VE offers comprehensive management to assist and optimize the process. We have a wide range of services to assist electrical power companies from power generation to risk analysis and a comprehensive equipment supply network.

THE PETROLEUM INDUSTRY
We help oil companies, traders, petroleum refiners, independent storage operators, pipeline companies, wholesale distributors, fuel transporters and end-user sales at gas stations. We offer initial consultancy through to turkey support of large EPC projects.

All of our energy-related services can be used on a standalone basis or to augment your existing working processes and methodologies. Contact us today to find out how we can help you in your line of business.

Design

Choosing a project design that will both support the operations and sustain environmental forces and impact, is vital to ensure a long and reliable service life. Our FEED study approach utilises proven O&G technologies deployed globally.

FEED Phase
The FEED study is a critical phase in the development the project – particularly those that are unique in terms of scale, technology, or configuration, where reference plant cost and performance information is unavailable.

The main objective of the FEED study phase is to establish and define the technical scope of work and project execution in sufficient detail to determine the project cost and commercial terms that form the basis of a firm EPC price and proposal for the Project.

Doing so requires completion of approximately 15 – 20 percent of the total engineering and planning effort, which reduces the Project risk before moving into detailed engineering and construction.

Our FEED consultants form a multi-disciplined task force, comprised of members experienced in all aspects of O&G technology, including Exploration, Drilling, Refinery Construction and Long Range pipeline Technology.

The team includes all the elements of a full project execution team with specialists in the engineering fields and functions identified in the positions below:

  • Project Management
  • Process Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Civil and Structural Engineering
  • Piping Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Instrument and Controls Systems
  • Procurement
  • Contracts
  • Construction
  • Commissioning & Start-up
  • Cost Estimating

Marketing & Trading

VE specialises in the supply and marketing of Oil & Gas related products and also offers comprehensive logistics and storage expertise, globally.

Our traded commodities are principally those related to the petroleum industry handled by experienced traders who deal from feedstock like crude oil and blending stocks to finished products such as fuel oil, gasoil, diesel and jet fuel. Reliable shipping and financial operations team support our experienced traders. And our commercial partners are crude oil producers, refineries and trading companies across the globe. VE, with it vast relationship, enables it to move oil to most of the destination in the Americas, Asia, Africa and Europe.

Our Products include :

Heavy Crude
Heavy crude oil or extra heavy crude oil is oil that is highly viscous, and cannot easily flow to production wells under normal reservoir conditions. It is referred to as "heavy" because its density or specific gravity is higher than that of light crude oil. Heavy crude oil has been defined as any liquid petroleum with API gravity less than 20°. Physical properties that differ between heavy crude oils and lighter grades include higher viscosity and specific gravity, as well as heavier molecular composition. In 2010, the World Energy Council defined extra heavy oil as crude oil having a gravity of less than 10° and a reservoir viscosity of no more than 10 000 centipoises.

Light Crude
Light crude oil is liquid petroleum that has a low density and flows freely at room temperature. It has a low viscosity, low specific gravity and high API gravity due to the presence of a high proportion of light hydrocarbon fractions. It generally has a low wax content. Light crude oil receives a higher price than heavy crude oil on commodity markets because it produces a higher percentage of gasoline and diesel fuel when converted into products by an oil refinery.

Diesel Fuel
In general is any liquid fuel used in diesel engines, whose fuel ignition takes place as a result of compression of the inlet air mixture (without spark) and then injection of fuel. Diesel engines have found broad use as a result of higher thermodynamic and thus fuel efficiencies. This is particularly noted where diesel engines are run at part-load; as their air supply is not throttled as in a petrol engine, their efficiency still remains high.

Fuel Oil
Fuel oil is a fraction obtained from petroleum distillation, either as a distillate or a residue. Broadly speaking fuel oil is any liquid petroleum product that is burned in a furnace or boiler for the generation of heat or used in an engine for the generation of power, except oils having a flash point of approximately 40 °C (104 °F) and oils burned in cotton or wool-wick burners. In this sense, diesel is a type of fuel oil. Fuel oil is made of long hydrocarbon chains, particularly alkanes, cycloalkanes and aromatics. The term fuel oil is also used in a stricter sense to refer only to the heaviest commercial fuel that can be obtained from crude oil, i.e., heavier than gasoline and naphtha.
